Nicolas Winding Refn's new film The Neon Demon, is about voodoo cannibal supermodels, and has a few similarities to Drive, one of his previous films. As you can see from the only imagery from the film that has been released, it has adopted the same blue and red colour scheme, using the luminescent lights of LA to his advantage. The Neon Demon is also set in Los Angeles the same as Drive, Refn commented "After making Drive and falling madly in love with the electricity of Los Angeles, I knew I had to return to tell the story of The Neon Demon." This love of the electricity of Los Angeles is expressed in his colour choices for the film in this image as well. The cast of The Neon Demon includes Christina Hendricks, who played Blanche in Drive, and is well known for her role in Mad Men.
However, nobody yet knows the script for this new film, as it is apparently locked away. Refn's wife, Liv Corfixen, said that he has been purchasing Christian film recently, and has had his tarot reading done by Alejandro Jodorowsky, which raises many questions as to what this film is actually about, and what Refn has had to "get out of his system".
