Following on from the feedback I received in the session, it was suggested that I look at
Tracey Emin's work, as it is similar to the LED designs I have created, and could help me when refining my ideas.

All of Emin's neon LED lettering works have a very similar style to them. The writing is scrawled hand writing, always in Title Case, and either one or two neon colours, keeping things simple, letting the words stand out by themselves. They also are all on a black background, which makes the colours seem even brighter, which I suppose makes sense as you wouldn't have lights on in the daylight as you won't be able to see them properly. Emin also doesn't worry about making the lettering perfect or regular, she just scrawls it down and that's that, which creates a kind of reckless, angry appearance.
Something I should take from this research is not to worry too much about the layout of accuracy of my LED lettering, just to let it go with the flow, as sometimes the best things come out of letting your creativity run loose.
