We got a bit of general, overall feedback today from the tutor in charge of the Responsive module, which is not only useful to know about our submissions, but vital to ensure that the Design Practice 2 module is produced to as high a standard as possible, and doesn't follow the mistakes that were in Responsive.
- Research and idea generation needs more focus
- Need to pick apart the brief more
- Need more varied research
- Must produce a range of ideas, not just one, and not just variants of the same idea/concept. Individual ideas and concepts. Choose the most appropriate idea, concept based on feedback and analysis of outcomes
- Always refer back to the initial concept/purpose of the brief
- Prove how the outcome will be successful and make money and fits within the criteria. Show how your outcome is the BEST.
These are all really simple things to fix and cover, however in the hurry to get an idea and start designing it, these things are really often forgotten about and neglected, which will indirectly have an impact on the outcome produced and it's effectiveness.
