OUGD505 STUDIO BRIEF TWO - MOCK UP TWO

In response to the first mock up I produced, I expanded it and reorganised the content to make it flow better and to be more appropriate for the content on the pages.

Front cover, nothing's changed.

First spread includes a did you know... section, which basically lists a few fun and informative facts about rainforests in general. The leaf pattern was extended to this page to add a bit of interest on an otherwise pretty empty spread. It also continues the leaf theme from the cover to the content pages as well.

The guide then goes on to talk about how to tell if your wood is sustainably sourced and organisations to support. I'm unsure whether this is in the right place, whether it should be after the effects, however the effects has to be in the middle. I'll ask a few peers what they think before changing anything to see what an outsider thinks.

Effects of deforestation middle spread. This works so much better and the text isn't all cut up across the middle.

The tips and tricks spread also works so much better across a spread, and the illustrations have much more impact in this way.

I'm still unsure what to put on this last additional page, I'm thinking about something to do with a promotional website perhaps? A link to another product I'm going to produce. This needs to be thoroughly thought about though.

Back cover, stayed the same.

This mock up is definitely an improvement from the previous one, however there are still some improvements that need to be made. These include moving the titles down to fit better with the page content, and also thinking about the last additional page, what's going to go on it. Also, a colour mock up should be tested on the stock I'm going to use before I take this to digital print tomorrow.
