After I chose my final typeface design following the critique, I set about designing the rest of my alphabet. To do this is simply printed off the whole Garamond alphabet upper and lower case, including a few glyphs as well. I then simply placed a Garamond letterform underneath one sheet of layout paper and traced over it, increasing the weight and extending the serifs, and generally making it rounder as I went along. I didn't use any guides or rules to produce it, so some of the lines were a little wiggly and wonky, and not all the serifs were the same length as I only drew them by eye.
These are some of my initial drawings for my alphabet, where I have traced round Garamond letterforms to produce my own. I have scanned these in so that I can begin digitalising them.
