For my half man half machine design ideas, I used these two images to help me design the mechanical part of the person. This was a great help to me, as it gave me an idea as to where to place the larger mechanical parts, such as over the eye and heart, and what typical shapes to make them as well. This made it easier, however it still proved pretty tricky.
