To start off Studio Brief 3 and to get us working better as a team, we were set a one day brief to rebrand Tower Works, which is a collection of 3 towers which have been revamped into Office and Creative Spaces. We had to rebrand them and then present our ideas in a pitch at the end of the day.
The office spaces in Tower Works are all very contemporary and fresh, and this is something that we wanted to reflect in our redesigns of the business, but also keeping in touch with the traditional appearances of the towers which make up Tower Works, as this is a major selling feature.

Our redesigns:
One member of our group started on the redesigns for the logo, taking into consideration the existing logo, as we didn't think it was a bad logo, just needed freshening up a little bit. We experimented with different typefaces, but thought one that was similar to the original logo, a blocky, tall typeface works well, as it creates a strong impression and reflects the shape of the towers. |
These were our final logos. The one on the left would be the main logo as it is a lot more detailed, and the one on the right would be if it needs to be printed on a much smaller scale, such as for letterheads, as it is very simple, the only illustration being the towers fitted into the counters in the o's, which is a subtle touch but an effective reference to the towers themselves. |
We applied this logo to a photograph of the towers, which we thought could be used on the website perhaps, or as part of a slide show. |
This is out logo applied to the top of our website, where we used the pink version to add more colour to the website as it was a little bit dull before. We found that our logo lent itself nicely to pretty much any colour, which we thought would come in handy if a quick revamp was needed, or for different situations. We went with the peachy pink shade for our designs though we this was fresh and had a warm feeling to it, due to the shade itself. |
We applied our branding to some collateral as well, to see how it would look on different scales and applied to different objects, and I think it works very nicely on all elements, as the logo has lent itself well to all different sized objects, and is complicated enough to attract attention, but doesn't detract from the content itself. The use of black with the pink also helps to make this design appear unisex, as the logo itself is very clean and neutral, the pink acts merely as an addition of colour rather than to look girly. |
This is our presentation detailing the research we undertook and the developments we made:
