The best way we thought to help organise our jobs within the group for this brief, we thought was to make a list of all the outcomes we should produce, and then choose two of these each to produce, so that we've all got our own things to be getting on with, once the initial colour scheme and aesthetics of the exhibition was decided upon. We also thought about possible names for the exhibition as well, all based around the fact that the books we were chosen were Graphic Design theory book, so we thought about when you read them you have to connect different points to come to the conclusion, which we thought could be an interesting idea to go with.

Names we thought of are shown above on this small mind map, but are all different variations of the same concept essentially. We all decided that Connections was our favourite name for the exhibition, as it is simple, just one word, and we thought it explained most effectively and simply our message. We then made a list of outcomes, such as invitations, posters, flyers, signage, a booklet, name plaques, exhibition website and also bookmarks or postcards, perhaps to sell alongside the exhibition. We then allocated two of these outcomes for ourselves, and I chose name plaques and signage. We also agreed on one colour, the #486688, a shade of grey-ey blue, alongside black and white as our main colours, and also the typeface Bebas Neue Regular, to keep everything continuous. |
