OUGD406 STUDIO BRIEF 2 - FINAL SLEEVE PHOTOGRAPHS

I printed my final sleeve design off in the digital print room at University. Because of it's size, it had to be printed on A2 paper through the A1 printers rather than the standard A3 printers I have always used before, so I was a little curious as to how it would come out. I chose a medium weight mate white paper to print on, as I wanted the colours to come out as bright as possible, but so that it was easy to wrap around the book and stay in place.
I was really surprised how well the colours came out, as my file was in RGB colour, and the printers only print in CMYK colour, something I realised when I started designing, as I wanted to experiment with exact colours, mainly for the screen printing process where I could print any colour I wanted, even though I knew it may not necessarily print this way in the digital print room for the whole sleeve. However when it printed out, it was pretty much exactly the same colours as on the screen, maybe slightly less fluorescent, but this really wasn't a problem at all.
