Today I spent my lunch break at Hyde Park in Leeds taking photographs of leaves and grass to use for my other two backing paper designs. These are my resulting photographs.
Grass photographs. I tried to get close up to the grass so that you could see each individual stem of grass, to make my pattern more detailed rather than just a green blur. I also tried not to get any leaves in the photographs and also minimal dirt too, as I want my images to be as green and as full of grass as possible.
Leaf photographs. I tried to get photographs of leaves on their own with nothing obstructing them, so that it would make it easier for me to crop the leaves out and arrange them all together in a pattern, without bits of other leaves in the photographs.
In these leaf photographs I went for a different idea and tried to get shots of a lot of leaves to make a pattern, as I thought this may make it easier for me to make my own pattern, or I'd have some images to work from as to what a pattern of leaves actually looks like.
