OUGD505 STUDIO BRIEF TWO - DISTRIBUTION

After thinking about all the products I could produce for this brief I then thought about how they would reach the consumer, how I would advertise them to the public to get people interested and involved and aware.

The guide would be sent in the post along with the poster to companies who import wood. It would also be emailed digitally with a downloadable version of the poster which they can print off themselves if they wish. The guide will also be available free to pick up on governmental and community buildings such as doctors, hospitals, libraries, town halls, leisure centres, youth centres etc, so that everyone as access to it, as although it is aimed at companies who import wood, it is also relevant to just about anyone. The digital version of the guide will be available free on ISSUU. Posters will be screened on digital screens in major cities across the world, featuring mainly in the business areas, as this is who I'm targeting. The posters will also be put up in key locations in major cities in the business areas, and also in general key locations, where they will be seen by a large amount of people.
The App will be advertised in a short TV commercial so that the whole world knows about it, as the majority of people of all ages watch TV. This advertisement will show the app in use, so you get an idea of how it works, but will also show how it will benefit your life, in saving you money and helping the environment. The app will also be promoted on social media, perhaps as a sponsored content or advert.
All of the products will be promoted on social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and SnapChat, as these are platforms so many people use everyday when they have a spare 30 seconds or so between connecting trains, or waiting for their kids to come out of school, even slumped in bed after a hectic day.
I think something I should specify, is how I'm going to choose which companies I send the guide to, and those I email to, and those I leave out. What qualifies a company to receive the guide? There are so many companies out there who import wood or use wood in their products, how would I even begin to select those who should get the guide and who shouldn't, or should everyone?
